Privacy Policy

Effective from: August 2026

Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Daines Kapp Insurance Brokers Ltd may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page periodically to ensure that you are happy with any changes.

The Data We Collect

The data we collect, including any personal and sensitive data, will be the contractual information necessary to provide quotations and arrange and administer your insurance. If you refuse to provide any of the information requested, we will be unable to quote or offer cover.

We share this information with insurers and other parties involved in arranging and administering your insurance. We may also make certain policy information available to selected insurers so that they can consider whether they are able to offer terms for your insurance requirements, now or at renewal. This helps us test the market and secure competitive terms on your behalf. Where we do this, the insurer may only use the information for that purpose.

What We Do With the Information We Gather

Internal Use

  • Internal record keeping.
  • To improve our products and services.
  • To contact you about your insurance arrangements.
  • To analyse our business and the insurance market, using our broking platform and related tools, so that we can improve the service and terms we offer.

Marketing & Research

  • With your consent, we may send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting.
  • From time to time, we may contact you by email, phone, or mail for market research purposes.

Website Customisation

We may use the information to customise the website according to your interests.

Use of Artificial Intelligence

We use enterprise-grade Artificial Intelligence (AI) services within our business, including AI tools provided by established technology providers and AI features embedded within our broking platform, to summarise insurer policy wordings, extract information from documents, prepare documents for client review, and assist with administrative tasks across the policy and claims lifecycle. These tools allow us to process your documents and requirements more efficiently and accurately.

Your personal data is processed within secure, encrypted environments governed by data processing agreements with each provider. We do not permit any technology provider processing personal data on our behalf to use it to train or develop AI models. These providers may use data that has been fully anonymised and aggregated, so that neither you nor any individual can be identified, to improve and develop their services.

Where we share your information with insurers and other market participants to obtain quotations or arrange and administer your insurance, they receive it as independent data controllers and process it in accordance with their own privacy notices, which we recommend you review.

Some AI services may process personal data outside the UK, under the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK adequacy regulations, or an equivalent transfer mechanism approved by the Information Commissioner’s Office, as set out in each provider’s data processing agreement. All AI-generated outputs are reviewed by qualified staff before being relied upon. We do not make decisions about your coverage or premiums based solely on automated processing.

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

International Transfers & Safeguards

Your information may be passed to countries outside the UK/European Economic Area (“EEA”). For example, this may happen if any of our servers or service providers are located outside these areas. These countries may not have similar data protection laws to the UK/EEA. If we transfer your information outside the UK/EEA, we will ensure that appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place so that your personal data continues to be protected.
