Daines Kapp Wins Apprentice Employer of the Year: SME at the CII and PFS Apprenticeship Awards 2026
Daines Kapp, an independent brokerage founded in 1989 and based in Ware, Hertfordshire, has been named Apprentice Employer of the Year: SME at the CII and PFS Apprenticeship Awards 2026. The award was presented at Central Hall Westminster, London, on Friday 16 October 2026.
The win follows a strong year of national recognition for the firm. Daines Kapp was Highly Commended in Insurance Broker of the Year for London & the South East at the UK Broker Awards 2026, was named a finalist at the British Insurance Awards 2026, and is a finalist at the Insurance Times Awards 2026.
About the CII and PFS Apprenticeship Awards 2026
The CII and PFS Apprenticeship Awards come from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and the Personal Finance Society (PFS), the professional bodies for insurance and financial planning. They celebrate insurance and personal finance apprentices, and the employers who make apprenticeships central to their business.
What the award recognises
The award recognises our commitment to developing talent through apprenticeships: how we recruit, train and support apprentices, and the long-term careers in broking they go on to build with us. It follows George Worby being named Insurance Practitioner Apprentice of the Year at the CII’s apprenticeship awards in 2023. George, who trained with us as an apprentice, later returned to the awards as a judge in 2025.
